Thanks Jinwoo for stepping up. +1 from me as mentioned earlier. In the interests of getting Apache Geode jump-started and generating some positive inertia, let’s give this DISCUSS thread until *Monday*. If there are no other volunteers or objections by then, we should consider Jinwoo confirmed as RM for 1.15.2.
That will satisfy the ASF minimum time for confirming a volunteer for RM, which is at least 72 hours. Looking ahead, I suggest that DISCUSS threads, including those for RM volunteers, should ideally remain open for 3 to 5 days during the work week. That is the ASF ideal. For this case we are applying the 72-hour minimum in order to keep things moving, but in the future giving a bit more time should strike a better balance between thoroughness and momentum. Once again, thanks to Jinwoo for volunteering to take this on. PS: As a committer you should already have most of the required permissions, but we will use this release as a way to confirm. Going through it will also give us the opportunity to update the “*Release Apache Geode*” page on Confluence so that it reflects the current infrastructure and process.
