Dear devs, The goal of this email is to inform you about developments that will be done for mobile platforms in the GeoExt project. The general idea discussed within the GeoExt PSC is to provide mobile support for the GeoExt library. Due to the convergence of ExtJS 4 and Sencha Touch (very similar API), it seems possible to develop one single libray for mobile and desktop applications. This can be seen as GeoExt 2.0 Therefore, a sandbox (http://trac.geoext.org/browser/sandbox/gxm) has been created by Terrestris (in the context of a development made for Swisstopo http://www.slideshare.net/cedricmoullet/mobile-geoadmin-mockup) to host general components like MapPanel, ActionButton, LayerList, state.PermaLinkProvider, data.LayerReader, data.LayerRecord (or LayerModel) or data.LayerStore. These are the initial works toward GeoExt 2.0. We would be happy to hear your feedback about these works and we'll keep you posted of the evolution. Best regards, Cédric
