It seems this problem also affects other doctypes, including the
recommended <!DOCTYPE html> doctype. But like the IE9 tree issue in
Ext 3.3.0 that was fixed, I expect this to be fixed, so I don't think
we should provide a workaround on the library level. However, I think
it would be a good idea to include a notice and instructions for a
workaround in the API docs of the affected GeoExt components.
