I just tried building the full specs project on the GBuild machine
(stan). I'm seeing a similar infinite loop. I see stan is using
maven 2.0. I'm on 2.0.2. So, hopefully that's the cause... I'll
need to wait for someone with appropriate karma to upgrade the m2
version on the gbuild machines...

it's just an unzip under /usr/local/ and then redo the symlink.
FYI,
I created a private maven2 install, and was able to build specs
successfully. This has the additional benefit that geronimo-spec-j2ee
jar is now, once again, available for download from apache...
So, once we cut over to maven 2.0.2, I think the J2EE spec build will
be working on Continuum.
