Installer option for creating an installation script should give more information. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GERONIMO-1914 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-1914 Project: Geronimo Type: Wish Security: public (Regular issues) Components: installer Reporter: Rick McGuire Priority: Minor Fix For: 1.1 The final panel of the installation gives the option to create an installer script for repeating the installation on another system. However, the installer doesn't give any information about what sort of script this is (batch file, shell script, etc.), and prompts for a filename with no suggested file extension, so the user doesn't know what sort of file to create. I guessed .bat, which was clearly wrong when I looked at the generated script. Also, it would be nice if the installer gave some suggestions on how to actually use this generated script to repeat the install. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
