I just built the geronimo-deployment-plugin from this patch ( http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/attachment/12335875/geronimo-deployment-plugin-RTC-VOTE.2.patch ). It built successfully and installed in the local m2 repo.
It's been a good 3-4 months since I last worked on itests but it is all coming back to me now. This seems to be a good time for me to start looking at itests again. Currently I could make use of this breather in the m2 migration work as issues like RTC, trunk or branch, invalid poms etc are sorted out. This is it. So what you could do is take a m1 binary and run the mvn install:install-file command to install it into your m2 local repo.
