Jason Dillon commented on GERONIMO-1710:
----------------------------------------

On second thought (or really third or fourth by now), I think that antrun can
generate the file(s) in a phase before resources get copied. Then configure
the pom to include resources that are generated by antrun.

Either way need to include the resources in the pom so that other plugins that
might need the resources (like Clover) will work.

IMO, its probably better to not add an additional plugin since antrun can do
this for us... and this is use in one (maybe 2 places) so not a high need for
reuse. Easier to maintain the antrun snip than a custom plugin.

> This is a contribution of Anders to create the geronimo-version.properties
> file with timestamp information during Geronimo's build. It should eventually
> end up as an Maven2 official plugin since there're not much reason to keep it
> here.
