Hej, currently I'm working on the User's Guide. Concerning this a question: Does a diagram or description of the single projects and their interdependencies exist? So sm-core relies on ActiveMQ for... and sm-eip uses sm-beanflow for... (or the like)? If yes, it may help a lot of users to understand the overall picture and develop their components, thus IMHO it shall be in the User's Guide. Sadly, I myself do not have enough knowledge of the internals to create a throughout diagram myself :( and it's likely the examples given above might be wrong.
Of course I was looking for such a thing but only found descriptions of single projects so far. http://goopen.org/confluence/display/SM/Component+Matrix gives some information, but not interdependencies, http://goopen.org/confluence/display/SM/Source+Structure has no desciptions and http://www.servicemix.org/site/how-stuff-works.html is outdated (SM v2) and concentrating on flows. But all of them have good pieces that might help to build what I think of.
