Claudio Martella commented on GIRAPH-870: ----------------------------------------- Hi Mirko, we have recently released a book about Giraph, Giraph in Action, through Manning. I think a link to that publication would fit very well in this page as well (a part of self-marketing), as many people often ask about more information about Giraph and how to run it. I see that many apache projects have a page about books, so it think it's a good fit. Do you think you can add that as well? Something simple as a link to the page (http://www.manning.com/martella), maybe a reference to the picture (http://www.manning.com/martella/martella_cover150.jpg) and a short description about the book (coming from the page): "Giraph in Action teaches you how to apply the Apache Giraph programming model to real-world graph data examples. The book starts by showing you how to mine graph data using the most straightforward algorithms. Then, you'll dive into the Giraph architecture and the main APIs as you discover how to model and process more complex scenarios. Along the way, you'll pick up techniques for handling data from disparate sources, swapping data in and out of memory, and running Giraph in the cloud." > Add a new section to the docu pages which lists publications about > applications and theoretical background about implemented algorithms. > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: GIRAPH-870 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GIRAPH-870 > Project: Giraph > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: site > Affects Versions: 1.1.0 > Reporter: Mirko Kaempf > Priority: Minor > Attachments: GIRAPH-849.v10.patch > > > In a new section, I want to list articles which write about, or just use and > cite Apache Giraph. > A first search via Google Scholar gave some pages with results but it needs a > deeper dive into this material. > Hints are welcome! -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2#6252)
