The ASF treats cases A and B differently. Logos for Case B is OK on the home page. Logos for Case A are not OK on the home page. They typically appear on a "Powered by" page. > 2. You may wish to add something like: "Other trademarks, logos and brand names are the property of their respective owners." after the standard ASF trademark text on any page where you use marks that are owned by entities other than the ASF. > 3. While such use of logos is nominative use (in my view), corporate entities often request that permission is obtained before using their logos. While nominative use may allow us to simply use the logos, ASF policy is that "We play nicely with others" and that includes following any requests that they may have regarding the use of their logo. This means that quite a lot of work may be required to get formal approval to use various logos. Also see: http://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/linking Mark
