@Alfonso, I think its bc the way JUnit run the tests. Every test basically run 
as separate Java process so the cluster is restarted 3 times. We could make it 
to just one by moving all the tests for HBase into one JUnit test file.

Like @Lewis said, we could probably do it in next iteration.
