Carlos Muñoz commented on GORA-664:
-----------------------------------

Hi Apoorva Joshi.

Thanks for your interest in this project.

Please check out the documentation on our website:
[https://gora.apache.org/current/] in order to know how Apache Gora works, also
you download our code and play with it: [https://github.com/apache/gora]

In order to apply for the Outreachy program (I am guessing that's the case,
right?) you have to submit at least one contribution. You can find potential
project ideas here:

Please comment in the Jira issues that you plan to work, in order to inform the
mentors and other applicants.

We will try to update the list with new issues, but if you find any open issue
of your interest in Jira please go ahead and let us know.

Regards,

Carlos.

> Elasticsearch is a Lucene-based search engine that primarily focuses on
> distribution and availability. It could be a good alternative for the
> gora-solr module.
