I am beginning to think that perhaps only bug fix changes to dependencies should be allowed for bug fix releases of Groovy, that minor version changes of dependencies should only be allowed for minor version changes of Groovy.
So for Groovy 1.7.0 -> 1.7.1 then changing Ant from 1.7.0 to 1.7.1 is
fine but changing 1.7.1 -> 1.8.0 would not be fine. The rationale here
is to do with API consistency.
