There is a newer version available, but it's only a "bin" version.
Obviously there are newer versions available from the continuous build
servers, but "blessed" snapshots are usually the way to go for stable
releases, and that may be why an older version is in use here.
We really only add a new snapshot when we want to use some new feature
from trunk in the Gradle build itself. Otherwise, there's nothing
special about them.
