mike-jumper opened a new pull request #79: URL: https://github.com/apache/guacamole-website/pull/79
We received a request to be listed from ITEN Engineering back in early March. From the [user@ mailing list](http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/guacamole-user/202003.mbox/%3CCACogDRYon45vT8mbecD0arrsw9TXiMenbhGDuwWj7Awi7cPGPg%40mail.gmail.com%3E): > ```eml > From: Marko Nikolić > Date: Sat, 7 Mar 2020 01:01:14 +0100 > Subject: Listing support company on the site > To: u...@guacamole.apache.org > > Hello, > > I would like to list our company on the Guacamole site, under > commercial support. > > Based on the previous discussions, I am sending the needed information: > > - Logo: attached > - URL: https://iten.rs/our-services/outsourcing/ > - Blurb: "Professional support, solutions, and personalize > functionalities for Apache Guacamole. ITEN provides seamless > integration of Apache Guacamole within enterprise and creation of the > solution fully tailored to the client's needs. Analysis of the > client's needs, consultancy, and recommendation about Guacamole usage > and development." > > Please let me know if anything else is needed. > > Regards, > Marko >``` This change adds the above listing. I'm currently marking this as a draft, as it looks like additional work may be needed: * The blurb is less neutral/factual then those we have accepted in the past ("seamless", "fully tailored", etc.) * The URL provided is for a general landing page regarding ITEN's outsourcing, not anything Guacamole-specific. There _is_ a Guacamole-specific page which might be more appropriate, https://rdesktop.iten.rs/, and this page is linked to on the generic page provided ... but that page says: > As certified experts for Apache Guacamole, ... This will need to be corrected. Companies cannot claim to be "certified experts" in Apache Guacamole. There is no such certification program, and the Apache Guacamole project certainly does not endorse any company. I'll reach out via the existing thread on the mailing list, but figured this PR should at least be created to provide a central point of comment and review. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
