Much time had passed since you posted this, but now we have [1] with
intermittent deadlock.

Can we resurrect the original test, you were trying to send to dev-list and
attach it to [1]?
It looks like we've broken some rules I'd described in this thread.

I did CC Tom, though, and he confirmed that it wasn't a problem with
harmony. I can forward the original zip file to people individually if
we want to confirm it to, and/or to forward messages on to Tom.

I've tried it myself and I can confirm: using Harmony this does not
cause a deadlock.
