The Apache HAWQ 2.1.0.0-incubating RC2 vote is now closed and has NOT passed.
You may have noticed, there were no votes by any members for RC2. The main issue that kept committers from voting was that several committers were looking to incorporate PXF testing into their release testing process. Ideally, they should still have voted with a -1 vote so we could tally the votes and be as transparent as we can as we address issues impacting the Apache HAWQ incubating dev community and project. It became obvious quickly the project was lacking significantly in PXF dev area. This extended from dev documentation to certain PXF strict assumptions about the underlying Hadoop distribution and the paths used by the distributions. The following issue has been filed and will be incorporated into the next release candidate (RC3): - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HAWQ-1297 FYI: In addition to pickup up changes for HAWQ-1297, we will be rebasing the Apache HAWQ 2.1.0.0-incubating release branch to pick up all changes on the master branch.
