On that same note of cutting a new RC, I think it might be wise for us to wait for sync up with ZK 3.4.1.
The 3.4.0 was pulled down because of the pretty serious regression 3.4.1 is up as an RC: http://people.apache.org/~mahadev/zookeeper-3.4.1-candidate-0/ HBase pom, however, still has: <zookeeper.version>3.4.0</zookeeper.version> More on ZK issues over here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZOOKEEPER-1319 Thanks, Roman.
