During the release for hbase-connectors 1.0.1 HBASE-28161, I found several
issues
1. CHANGELOG.md was being used but our release script is using CHANGES.md to
create new changes.
2. the do-release.sh script isn't working because of due 1/, I hacked it to
make it work, but this would bring a backward compatible issues.
Proposing to fix it after the releases, because no matter what the archive does
not have the CHANGES.md for hbase-connectors.
