Sebastian,
I am also not sure this is warranted. Java collections are not type safe at 
runtime due to type erasure. If we start documenting that we might as well 
consider warning people about risks of getting abducted by green men from Mars. 
There is always a potential risk of a type cast exception given that 
HttpContext is effectively a map of untyped objects.
