The Apache HttpComponents project is responsible for creating and maintaining a toolset of low-level Java components focused on HTTP and associated protocols.

Status

Overall the project remains active. HttpCore 5.0 and HttpClient 5.0 are nearing a major milestone of being compliant with mandatory requirements of RFC 7230,
RFC 7231 and RFC 7235.

Releases

The last report was submitted in mid June. There has not been any releases during this period.

HttpCore 5.0 and HttpClient 5.0 ALPHA 1 releases can be expected in the course of next months.

Community

The community remains small but active, but has good user interaction on the mailing lists.
