[~snicoll] It us true, Spring is big and important, but it is one of many
HttpClient users. So, we can agree to disagree and you restore the old behavior
with a few lines of code that have no side-effects and backward compatible with
all version of HttpClient 5.x, or we can continue going in circles, so we may
as well sing a Happy Christmas song.
