I actually created the site using the CMS in markdown, then ran the build
on my laptop and committed the result to svn. But I've been committing the
markdown version of the site into the git repo, so we could probably switch
over pretty easily.

So with my limited design skills I made a logo, which is up on the site, I
used the hadoop elephant along with a gear and then the name of the
project. If someone with a better hand wants to improve on this that would
be great, but I thought it was at least a differentiator.
