Enhancement request in Hive to have an ability to create Partitions on a
group/set of values from a column rather than the unique values in a
partitioned column.
For e.g. requesting for ability/flexibility to create partition for Date
between Feb 1 - Feb 10 and Date between and Feb 11 to Feb 20 instead of
specifying Day or Month.
Another example is to provide values while creating Partitions for States
='NC,'SC','GA' States ='CA' etc.,
