Not just authorization. It requires a complete redesign of existing database
feature. And the only benefit of doing that is the backward interface
compatibility.
@Carl, this should not be just a metastore change. We should also provide an
utility to replicate data. but we can do it in a followup and focus on the
metastore changes on this jira.
