To reproduce:
create table bint (b binary);
insert into table bint values (cast("a" as binary));
Error: Error while compiling statement: FAILED: RuntimeException Error invoking
signature method (state=42000,code=40000)
The same DML works if I use SELECT instead of values:
insert into table bint select cast("a" as binary);
