The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Hive has invited Soumyakanti Das to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted.
Soumyakanti has been consistently contributing to the project since mid 2020. He has worked on multiple areas across the whole pipeline of SQL execution, handling parsing, optimization, execution, and federation (JDBC/HBase) bugs and improvements. He helped on significant and challenging tasks such as calcite upgrades and fixed tricky and non-trivial issues such as bugs in vectorization layers.
