The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Hive is delighted to announce that Sai Hemanth Gantasala has joined the PMC!
Sai has been contributing to the project for the past 6 years. He has many contributions in various areas across the project with build up expertise around authentication and authorization. He has mentored many contributors and is a leading figure in HMS contributions. For a while he has been helping a lot with security reports, triaging and fully resolving a bunch of them. Sai served as the release manager for the 4.2.1 release that is now fully available online. The PMC - Project Management Committee - manages and guides the direction of the project, and is responsible for inviting new committers and PMC members to steward the longevity of the project. See https://community.apache.org/pmc/responsibilities.html if you're interested in learning more about the rights and responsibilities of PMC members.
