When we get partitions by name, we call retrieveAll, forcing the retrieval of
all fields of the partition. Retrieving by filter has:

// pm.retrieveAll(mparts); // retrieveAll is pessimistic. some fields may not
be needed

The code moved around recently but it was there for a while. This may cause
inconsistent results from two methods in terms of what fields are set.
