Thanks Xuefu for closing this one. You make some good points above about Hive's 
evolution & ANSI compliance. I think we still have to come to a conclusion on 
the other issues regarding int/int and avg(int) output type. We can take that 
up on the other JIRA(s). I'll cross-link.
