Sorry for not getting back to this patch. It looks good with some minor changes:
* Please keep the source code to 80 columns.
* I think it would be less confusing to use the full name for the
mapred.RecordReader and the short name for orc.RecordReader.
* OrcNewSplit needs a license header.
