While running in Tez mode,
Hive has configuration for tez.task.java opts. It, however, relies on MR opts
if tez.task.java.opts is not set. This should fallback to tez defaults.
For the AM, Hive doesn't use anything for the ENV - it looks up MR opts, and
then ignores them - eventually setting nothing on the DAG - which implies
picking up whatever is configured in tez-site.xml.
