There is no issue, nor is a warning appropriate: if you use DESTDIR during make install you're explictly asking for an installation into a temporary directory which will later on be relocated into the real --prefix (e.g. by your binary packaging mechanism of choice). The installation will not work until you finish the install and relocate it into the real prefix, that's entirely expected behaviour. Regards, joe
