If you call it that; see the use-commit-times option in your config. I rather object to omitting commit date metadata in our exported release tarballs, since we lose context of files changed for those reviewing the package. That's just my 2c US. Footnote; issues like these is why most early CVS users used the $date meta token, until most implementations got it right on leaving the commit dates in the filesystem. Bill
