If you’re a fluent speaker of one of these languages, and can verify these things, that would be greatly helpful in getting our translations up to date. The alternative is that we would drop some of these translations from our docs - and indeed some of them should probably go anyways. FYI, if you care, here’s the data: https://boxofclue.com/translation.html Summary: - French is by far the best maintained — 29 of 30 files current, only upgrading.xml is behind. - Russian is current but only covers 2 files. - Spanish is mostly current (11/14), with just 3 files behind. - Korean is the worst off — 22 of 23 files outdated, many based on revisions from 2004-2005 (~21 years behind). - Japanese is similar — 20 of 22 outdated, many from 2006-2008 (~17-19 years behind). - Turkish has 22 of 25 outdated, mostly from 2011-2012 (~10-15 years behind). - German has 8 of 10 outdated, with install and configuring based on 2005-2006 revisions (~19-20 years behind). - Danish, Portuguese-BR, and Chinese are small and entirely outdated. It would probably make sense to drop Danish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Russian. (This looks only at the top directory in the manual, and does not cover the more extensive mod/ directory, or any of the various programs/, ssl/, rewrite/ and so on directories, most of which lack translations entirely.
Hello, I re-read the spanish translation today. It was 99% more than OK in my opinion. If I were asked to make a complain, but tiny, two pretty minor things stood out for me: "Cuando se inicia un reinicio" sounds redundant in spanish, I would have translated something like "Cuando comienza un reinicio" or "Cuando se ordena un reinicio". And then a little lack of translating for a very technical term , which makes sense, but I would either quote it as not translated or attempt a translation: "También debe tener cuidado con otras posibles race conditions..." race condition would translate as "condiciones de carrera" (quite ugly in spanish), or even a better one I found searching "condiciones de competencia" or even deliverately extend it "condiciones de competencia entre procesos", same thing as previously mentioned was made with "deadlock", all quite subjective still.
