Hello devs, As the release manager of the 1.0.0 release, I'm pleased to inform you that we're now ready to work towards the beta2 release. As you already know 1.0.0 will be a major release with multiple format changes [1] and it will be released gradually in phases. Six months ago, we released the first beta, 1.0.0-beta1 [2]. The beta2 release comes with bug fixes stabilizing the new format changes as well as features such as new index types and enhancements to the filegroup reader.
We're going to freeze the master branch soon to cut 1.0.0-beta2 RC. Here's the list of JIRAs closed for 1.0.0-beta2 release [3]. I will keep you posted about the progress of beta2 release.
