Thanks for opening the discussion issue Kevin!

I put a wishlist of 3 PRs I'd love to get in that would allow DataFusion Comet 
to use a crate release of Iceberg Rust when we merge [1] but that's not a 
strict requirement. That said, I don't want to create undue review burden in 
time for a release. I'll keep an eye on the discussion issue and any PRs linked 
there I'll try to jump in and review. Let me know if there's anything else I 
can do to support the release.
