One of the first steps is to put together the Selection Committee. The main responsibility of the Selection Committee is to coordinate on the Summit agenda, define the tracks, and choose all the sessions featured at Iceberg Summit 2027. As a member of the Selection Committee, you will be expected to: - discuss and decide on the program structure of the Summit - review and select the CFP submissions (last year this took roughly 3-6 hours) Any community member is eligible to participate. If you'd like to help, please volunteer in a reply to this thread. This open call closes Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT. After the call closes, the PMC will vote to select 11 volunteers to the committee. Here are a few guidelines that will be applied: - There will be a total of 11 members - There will be no more than 1 committee member per company. - And at least 3 members will be from the Apache Iceberg PMC. They will help ensure that the program is according to ASF and Iceberg community guidelines. Thanks, Sung
