Igniters, I have started up a client without a server in 1.3 edition and to an average user it would look like the client startup is hanging.
It is my understanding that in the background the client keeps trying to reconnect to the server, until the first server shows up, but from a user standpoint there is not a single message in the log alluding to that fact. See the log below.
