As a general comment I believe that some valid points about Jira processes have been made and I think we can definitely improve on those as a community.
For example, I think it makes sense for all the committers to go through the recent (last month or so) tickets and add proper comments and explanation. Going forward everyone in the community should be more diligent about the Jira process. D.
