Hi all,

As 4.4.0 and 3.4.2 have been recently released, it's time to discuss
this again. The main issue is where to distribute the binaries. There
are at least 3 options:
 - Apache SVN
 - Toolchain S3 Bucket
 - Github

Note that each package is 500+MB. For 4.4.0 there are 10 packages and
the total size is 5.3GB. Uploading all of them to Apache SVN might
make checkout and update operations super slow. We can discuss more in
the doc:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JdflT6pk0kr1QYUbMk_W2X2B3zPwU_Ibxqi_j4EJm4c/edit?usp=sharing

For people who want to try the packages first, I have uploaded them to
Google Drive and Baidu NetDisk:

https://pan.baidu.com/s/1ncfJuqeirkj6ueZHR5xJuA?pwd=fcc6

Please note that you don't need to download all the packages, just
choose the one that corresponds to your environment. E.g. For
deploying Impala 4.4.0 on Apache Hive 3.1.3 running on CentOS7, choose
apache-impala-4.4.0-RELEASE_hive-3.1.3-x86_64.el7.rpm
Currently only x86_64 packages are built. Packages on ARM will be built later.

Thanks,
Quanlong
