[VOTE] Upgrading version from 1.4.0-SNAPSHOT to 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT for master branch

Hi all,

As we discussed in [1], we need to decide whether to upgrade from
1.4.0-SNAPSHOT to 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT for the master branch.


[-1]  keep 1.4.0-SNAPSHOT
[+1] upgrade to 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT
