I'll have to try out the IntelliJ workflow for myself.
In the meantime, though, as a workaround for this particular ticket... since
the dom code isn't actually changing, could that not be built separately using
"mvn clean install", then in IntelliJ just link to that code via your local
~/.m2/repository rather than have it imported into your IDE's workspace?
