About the 'jcr-remoting-over-webdav' part, I understant that the
JCRWebdavServer stands as the server side, but do you know if someone
ever worked on the JCR client part, to build the whole chain :
JCR API -> WebDav request -> network -> JCRWebdavServer -> JCR Repository
yes -> take a look at the spi-contrib... we ended up defining a
separate layer (SPI).
you may find further info as well as a summary of open issues
within /contrib/spi/ and last but not least david recently startet
a thread regarding the spi in general:
