The symptoms you describe seem to indicate a potential malware infection on your computer rather than a problem with the Jackrabbit build. I wouldn't be surprized if the same problem affected also other Maven builds than just Jackrabbit and perhaps even other programs than Maven. BR, Jukka Zitting
