Hi,

As discussed late last year, it would be nice to upgrade our web site
infrastructure from the current Maven 2 site build and the associated
svn machinery to something nicer. There seemed to be relatively good
consensus on using a Confluence auto-export for the site. I've now
migrated most of existing web site content to the wiki space at
http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/JCR/ and set up an
auto-export to http://jackrabbit.apache.org/JCR/. Also, as you may
just have noticed, I've enabled email notifications from the wiki
space to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'd like to take the final steps of cleaning up remaining details and
publishing the auto-exported version as the official
http://jackrabbit.apache.org/. Since this is a major change web site
infrastructure, I'd like to verify consensus by calling a vote on this
before making the switch.

So, please vote on changing the publishing infrastructure of the
Jackrabbit web site from the current Maven 2 site build to the
Confluence auto-export. The vote is open for the next 72 hours. Only
votes from Jackrabbit PMC members are binding, but anyone is welcome
to voice their opinion. This vote is like a release vote, i.e. a
majority with at least three +1 votes makes the vote pass, but any -1
votes will of course be carefully considered.

[ ] +1 Use Confluence for managing the Jackrabbit web site
[ ] -1 Do not use Confluence, because...

Here's my +1.

PS. Note that only Jackrabbit committers will have write access to the
wiki space. If you have a Confluence account but don't yet have karma
to the JCR space, please let me know and I'll grant write access to
you.

BR,

Jukka Zitting
