I am sorry if your company lost money with adaptTo, that's organizer's decision whether to make it or not and how much to ask people to pay, no doubt about it. Of course good venue / food / etc are expensive, but still IMHO it sounds a crazy price (and it's an early bird!) for an event meant to gather people with possibly different backgrounds from our communities.
