Thanks for the patch!
I've checked it in with one change around how the config file was being
handled. I do not have access to a machine with start-stop-daemon, so I am
unable to test that part of the change.
I've tested it on Cygwin and on CentOS 6.2, and it seems to work well. Would
you (or someone else) mind testing the script in Linux (preferably with
start-stop-daemon and maybe running as a different user).
