Non-blocking, minor comment:

The NOTICE does not need the "Portions of this software were ..." part. In this module, there are no parts from elsewhere. No harm, just unnecessary.

Because this is distributed just as a jar in maven, there is no dependencies being shipped which means things are simpler.

The LICENSE and NOTICE in the jar are autogenerated and are fine. The 2 NOTICE files have different titles. The jar one is taken from <name> in the POM.

(I have updated the NOTICE and POM files in SVN).
