Liked most names posted here. Log4J had a poll for their new logo and it was a huge success :) [1] [1] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-316 From: Rob Vesse <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, November 26, 2014 2:29 PM Subject: Re: Better name than "RDF Tools for Apache Hadoop"? I do like that and I'll add it to the list of possibilities.
Though I wonder if it might be a bit tongue in cheek naming a big data project a word that translates as "the art of singing and dancing". Particularly since I've seen a certain amount of stuff implying that the big data movement is reaching the so-called trough of disillusionment Other new suggestions from the wider community via Twitter: - Leave as-is but acronym down to TFH - Note that TFH is a rotational ciphering of RDF - https://twitter.com/shanecurcuru/status/537613880483405824 - Tridoop - I like this slightly better than Quadoop - https://twitter.com/juansequeda/status/537616657762779136 - Howda - https://twitter.com/jervenbolleman/status/537639519399710720 At this rate I think I'm going to have to run some sort of poll for people to vote on! Thanks all, further suggestions welcome Rob On 26/11/2014 15:53, "Phil Coates" <[email protected]> wrote: >kabuki? > >On 26 November 2014 at 14:22, Rob Vesse <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Yes I much prefer Kong >> >> Ponnuki is nice and fits the existing theme but I would be concerned >>that >> it would be confused with Fuseki or considered related when it is really >> not >> >> I'll leave this a few days and see what other people think >> >> Rob >> >> On 26/11/2014 13:29, "Andy Seaborne" <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> >On 26/11/14 11:56, Rob Vesse wrote: >> >> While certainly accurate and descriptive it is somewhat cumbersome to >> >>both >> >> say and write.
